Entry Requirements
The entry requirements for the PG Diploma in HRM are:
An honours degree (minimum 2.2) or degree-equivalent professional qualification.
An NVQ or SVQ Level Four in a related subject area.
A HND/HNC in a related subject area plus two years relevant organisational experience.
A Certificate in Personal Practice or a Certificate in Training Practice or a Certificate in Recruitment and Selection, or an equivalent CIPD certificated programme, plus two years relevant experience.
Applications from individuals who do not possess the above qualifications but who are more mature and have significant organisational experience. In such cases students will need to have at least seven years relevant organisational experience, with at least three years in an HR role, or five years in a supervisory or management role. Admission to the programme will be based on an evaluation of the applicants ability to contribute to, benefit from and achieve the award.
The entry requirements for the final masters year (part-time) are:
A postgraduate diploma in Human Resource Management or Human Resource Development from the University of Wolverhampton or other university.
Graduate membership of the CIPD through assessment.

Consider the management of people in an international context and the effects of globalisation on workers, organisations and employment issues
Organisational Change and Development
Focus on decisions that have to be made on the most appropriate organisational structure(s) to ensure delivery of organisational activity. Consider the importance of cultural awareness in managing outcomes of design and development strategies, the practical applications of organisation design and organisation development concepts and the implications for the effective management of organisations and professional practice
Human Resource Management in Context
Focus on how organisations respond to their ever-changing environment and how leaders and managers have to react to the reality that their decisions and choices are often not shaped by themselves, but the chosen environment.
People Resourcing and Reward
Focus not just on the practical aspects of recruitment, selection, employee retention and dismissal, but also on the strategic aspects to equip learners with the knowledge and skills required for resourcing and talent management within a global context
Key Issues in Employee Relations and Employment Law
Consider the contexts and external factors which impinge on the employment relationship and the differing political and ideological perspectives inherent within human resource management. Consider relevant employment legislation and how it affects employees, management and organisations
Leading, Managing and Developing People
Provides you with a rigorous framework of knowledge and understanding concerning people management and development
You will also undertake an Independent Business Analysis Project, which runs throughout your course.
