Foundation in Science: A Pathway to University
The Foundation in Science program provides students with essential knowledge to pursue higher education. This flexible one-year program strengthens core subjects while offering a broad-based learning experience. It encourages independent and critical thinking by exposing students to new ideas, methods, and concepts.
Students can choose from two elective areas:
- Pure Science (e.g., Food Science, Biomedical Science, Pharmacy)
- Physical Science (e.g., Engineering, IT, Computer Science)
Understanding Foundation in Science
The Foundation in Science is a pre-university program designed to prepare students for science-related degrees. It covers key subjects like Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Mathematics, and Information Technology, ensuring a smooth transition to university.
Can You Switch to a Non-Science Degree?
In some cases, students may switch to fields like business or mass communication, depending on the institution's requirements and potential additional coursework.
