About
This doctoral programme allows students to become independent researchers and experts in a specific area of Education. UNM provides high-quality training with a strong research focus in various disciplines. Students must be highly motivated, enthusiastic, and possess an inquisitive mindset.
International students are registered as full-time due to immigration requirements, while local students can choose between part-time or full-time study. All doctoral candidates are based at the Malaysia campus.

Degree Requirements:

An upper second-class honours degree (2:1) or its international equivalent in a relevant discipline.

Normally, experience in research methodology (e.g., an undergraduate level dissertation or research project) is required.

Non-UK qualifications will be assessed against the UK standard.

Applicants must hold a degree from a recognised university.

Students from all academic backgrounds are welcomed, and a variety of qualifications will be considered.

Language Requirements (for non-native English speakers):

IELTS (Academic): Minimum 7.0, with no less than 6.0 in each element.

TOEFL (iBT): Minimum 100 with:

PTE (Academic): Minimum 76, with no less than 65 in each element.

MUET: Band 5
Test results must be less than two years old. One skill retake for IELTS is accepted. Online versions of IELTS Academic, TOEFL iBT, and PTE Academic are not accepted. MUET results are valid for five years from the release date.
