The Bachelor of Finance (Honours) at UTAR is one of the select programmes included in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) University Programme, incorporating a significant portion of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK) into its curriculum. This provides students with a strong foundation to pursue the CFA Programme and UTAR offers students opportunities to participate in talks, workshops, events, and competitions. Outstanding students may also apply for scholarships to finance their CFA Level 1 examination.

Entry Requirements
Any of these:
- STPM: Grade C+ (GP 2.33) in 2 subjects+Credit in SPM Mathematics (if no STPM Mathematics)+Pass in SPM English / equivalent.
- STAM: Jayyid+Credit in SPM Mathematics+Pass in SPM English / equivalent.
- A-Level: Grade D in 2 subjects+Credit in SPM Mathematics (if no A-Level Mathematics)+Pass in SPM English / equivalent.
- UEC: Grade B5 in 5 subjects+Credit in SPM Mathematics (if no UEC Mathematics)+Pass in SPM English / equivalent.
- SAM: ATAR 75, Grade B in 2 subjects+Credit in SPM Mathematics (if no SAM Mathematics)+Pass in SPM English / equivalent.
- CPU: 80% aggregate in 6 subjects+Credit in SPM Mathematics (if no CPU Mathematics)+Pass in SPM English / equivalent.
- IB Diploma: 28 points, minimum 4 per course+Credit in Mathematics+Pass in SPM English / equivalent.
- Foundation / Matriculation: CGPA 2.50+Credit in Mathematics+Pass in SPM English / equivalent.
- Diploma (Finance/Banking/Insurance): CGPA 2.50.
English Language Requirements:
Malaysian Applicants:
- Credit in SPM English / Grade C in O-Level English / Grade B in UEC English / MUET Band 3 / IELTS 5.0 / TOEFL 40(iBT) / PTE 47 / Cambridge English 154 / ELS CIEP Level 107.
- Exceptions: Not required for A-Level, SAM, CPU, or fully English-taught qualifications (must have a pass in SPM English/equivalent).
- Not Meeting Above Requirements: Pass in SPM English / equivalent + English Enhancement Programme (Levels 7 & 8).
International Applicants:
- IELTS 6.0 / MUET Band 4 / TOEFL 60(iBT) / PTE 59 / Cambridge English 169 / ELS CIEP Level 109.
- Exceptions: Not required for fully English-taught qualifications or applicants from English-speaking countries (must have a pass in SPM English/equivalent).
- Mathematics & English Waiver: Can be waived if qualifications include equivalent/higher achievement in Mathematics and English.
