Entry Requirements
- Foundation / Matriculation: Passed the Foundation/Matriculation (or any equivalent qualification) with a minimum CPGA of 2.50, and passed Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) (or any equivalent qualification) with credit in Mathematics and pass in English Language; OR
- Diploma: Passed the Diploma in Finance, Banking, Insurance and other related field (Level 4, MQF) with a minimum CGPA of 2.50; OR
- STPM: Passed the Malaysian Higher School Certificate (STPM) (or any equivalent qualification) with minimum Grade C+ (NGMP 2.33) in any 2 subjects, and pass Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) (or any equivalent qualification) with credit in Mathematics and pass in the English Language; OR
- Malaysian Higher Religious Certificate (STAM): Passed the STAM with minimum Jayyid grade, and passed Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) (or any equivalent qualification) with credit in Mathematics and pass in English Language; OR
- Unified Examination Certificate (UEC): Passed UEC with minimum grade B in 5 subjects, including Mathematics, and pass in English Language; OR
- Malaysian Vocational Diploma (Diploma Vocational Malaysia – DVM): Passed the DVM with from an institution recognised by the Government of Malaysia and approved by the University’s Senate in any 1 field as follows:
- Insurance;
- Accounting;
- Banking; and
- Passed Malaysian Vocational Certificate (Sijil Vocasional Malaysia – SVM) equivalent with 3 credits in SPM for the candidate who obtained:
- Honoured in Malay Language (Bahasa Melayu 1104);
- PGNK Academic >2.0; and
- PGNK Vocational >2.67; and
- Competent in all vocational module
*Note: The Malaysian Vocational Certificate (SVM) programme entry requirements for the 2012-2016 cohort Malaysian Vocational Diploma (DVM) programme are as above. For Malaysian Vocational Certificate (SVM) graduates, cohort 2013-2016, SVM equivalency with 3 SPM credits should also take into account passing SPM History subjects
- For International Students, students must have a minimum score of 6.0 in IELTS or equivalent.
**Note: Credit in Mathematics and pass in the English Language at SPM level for candidates (2), (3), and (4) may be excluded if the eligibility includes Mathematics and English Language and their achievement/ equivalent to the requirement of passing the subject at SPM level.
Curriculum
The Bachelor of Finance (Hons) programme is comprehensive, covering University Compulsory Subjects, MQA Compulsory Subjects and Discipline Core areas. This programme is designed to offer a well-rounded educational experience, combining in-depth theoretical knowledge and practical application. Students must complete 125 credit hours over the 3 years programme duration, including practical training.
