Entry Requirements

Entry Level and Requirements

For Local Students

  • A recognized Certificate in Matriculation or Foundation with a minimum CGPA of 2.0 and a pass in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent; OR
  • A pass in STPM with TWO (2) full passes with a minimum CGPA of 2.0 or its equivalent and a pass in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent; OR
  • A pass in STAM with a minimum grade of Jayyid and a pass in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent; OR
  • A Diploma (Level 4, MQF) in MIF or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 or equivalent; (Candidates with CGPA below 2.5 but above 2.0 may be admitted subject to an internal assessment process) OR
  • Any other Diploma (Level 4, MQF) with a minimum CGPA of 2.5; OR
  • Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognized by the Malaysian Government.
    • Note:
    • I. The pass in Mathematics at SPM level for a candidate (i), (ii) and (iii) can be waived should the qualification contains Mathematics with equivalent / higher achievement.
    • II. Students must undergo an Arabic language enhancement course at the beginning of the programme except for candidates with a pass in the Arabic language at STPM/ STAM/ Matriculation/ Foundation/ Diploma or equivalent/ higher.
    • III. Students must pass the Arabic enhancement course as a prerequisite to related core courses. However, this still allows students to take core and non-core courses that do not require an Arabic language enhancement course.
    • IV. Credit for the Arabic language enhancement course is additional to the programme and can be considered for the graduating credit.
  • OR
  • Pass A-Level with minimum Grade D in TWO (2) subjects and a pass in Mathematics and English at O level, or any equivalent qualification; OR
  • Pass in International Baccalaureate (IB) with at least 24 points; OR
  • Pass Higher National Diploma (HND) UK (MQF Level 4) in related area and recognized government of Malaysia and according to approval by UniKL Senate; OR
  • Qualification of 12 years of schooling with the following conditions:
    • 1. It is the highest school qualification in the country of origin;
    • 2. It can be used as entry qualification for bachelor’s degree programme in the country of origin.
  • Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM)/ Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM)/ Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) Qualification
  • Pass Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM)/ Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM)/ Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 subject to the approval of the Senate / Academic Board of the relevant institution; OR
  • Pass the DKM/DLKM/DVM with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 AND have at least two (2) years of work experience in the related field.

For International Students

  • Students must complete 12 years of schooling and obtain a general pass in their High School Certificate,
  • A-levels or equivalent with min Grade C (60%) in any 2 subjects and pass (50%) in Mathematics and English in their Secondary School or O-level.
  • IELTS 5.5 or equivalent
