Offering global mobility options and opportunities to our students is a major thrust of the internationalisation of Taylor's University. We were recently pleased to welcome Prof. Dr. Markus Freiburghaus and Dr. Lien Dinh from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW) to our Lakeside campus. The modern FHNM campuses are in the mountains of northwestern Switzerland, near to the borders with Germany and France and close to the cities of Basel and Zurich. Historically the majority of courses have been taught in German, but an increasing number of programmes are now being offered entirely in English – for example in their Business School. Switzerland is one of the most innovative and competitive countries in the world, and for several years now it has topped the rankings of both the Global Innovation Index and the Global Competitiveness Index. Switzerland's universities of applied sciences are strong partners to the growth of the Swiss economy. Taylor's University has been rapidly expanding its mobility opportunities for students and we are pleased to have entered into another new agreement that will allow our students to spend a semester living and studying in Switzerland while still earning credits towards their degree. Our students will only need to pay their regular fees at Taylor's University, and while they are overseas a Swiss students will be able to study at the Lakeside campus - further adding to the wide diversity of our international student body.
