Diploma in Accounting

The Diploma in Accounting at LSBF provides students with a strong foundation in accounting principles and practices, preparing them for careers across various accounting sectors. The curriculum includes financial accounting, management accounting, taxation, auditing, and financial reporting, combining theoretical knowledge with practical application.

Guided by experienced faculty, the program focuses on developing critical thinking, analytical skills, and attention to detail. Students gain hands-on experience with accounting software and simulation exercises. Graduates are ready for entry-level roles in accounting firms, corporations, government agencies, or non-profits, pursuing careers as accountants, auditors, tax consultants, or financial analysts.

Academic Requirements

1. SPM / O-Level:

   • Pass SPM or equivalent with 3 credits in any subjects, including Mathematics, and a pass in English.

2. STPM / A-Level:

   • Pass STPM with a minimum GPA of 2.00 (Grade C) in any 1 subject, AND a credit in Mathematics and a pass in English at SPM level.

3. STAM:

   • Pass STAM with at least Grade Maqbul (Pass), AND a credit in Mathematics and a pass in English at SPM level.

4. Certificate:

   • Pass in a relevant Certificate with a minimum CGPA of 2.00.

5. SKM:

   • Pass SKM Level 3 in a related field.

   • Note: Candidates without Mathematics can be admitted subject to a thorough rigorous assessment to determine their competencies in Mathematics equivalent to SPM level.

6. Others:

   • Other equivalent qualifications approved by the Government of Malaysia.

   • Note: Candidates can be admitted if their admission qualification contains Mathematics and English subjects equivalent to SPM level. Those without a credit in Mathematics and a pass in English at SPM level or equivalent can be admitted but must take and pass reinforcement Mathematics and English subjects. These subjects must be offered in the first semester or before enrolment with an unconditional offer.

Language Requirements for International Students

• CEFR: Mid B1.

• IELTS: Minimum score of 4.5.

• TOEFL iBT: Minimum score of 33.

• Pearson (PTE): Minimum score of 43.

• MUET: Minimum of Band 3.
