Entry Requirements
This qualification is validated through the University of Worcester and is one of several ways of receiving recognised qualified Teaching Assistant status within this authority.
The modules within this qualification reflect the National Occupational Standards for Teaching Assistants and are delivered at Higher Education levels 4 and 5 (previously referred to as levels 1 and 2). These modules are advertised to schools in a booklet entitled 'Professional Development for Teaching Assistants'.
This booklet is prepared termly by the local authority Teaching Assistant Training and Development Coordinator and contains details of the courses, costs and how to book. These courses may also be undertaken without completing the accreditation at the end.
