About
The AI industry in Malaysia is projected to grow at a rate of 30% annually, reaching a market size of RM9.5 billion by 2025. 64% of Malaysian businesses are planning to invest in AI technology, and AI-related jobs have a 69% annual growth rate, making it one of the top emerging jobs in Malaysia. The Malaysian government has launched initiatives to support the development of AI, such as the National AI Framework and the AI Malaysia Grand Challenge. Additionally, AI professionals are among the top 10 highest-paying jobs in Malaysia, with an average salary of RM9,000 to RM15,000 per month, according to a JobStreet survey.
Strength of the Programme
The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science program at the University of Hertfordshire offers students the chance to specialize in artificial intelligence and robotics, as well as a strong foundation in mainstream computer science. The program is backed by a well-established computer science department with excellent facilities and strong links to business and industry. Graduates are well-prepared for IT careers through a combination of academic, professional, and practical study, with opportunities for industry certifications and a paid placement year. Entry Requirements
- A pass in Matriculation or Foundation Studies with minimum CGPA of 2.00 or Pass in STPM or equivalent with a minimum Grade C (GP 2.00) in any of the following 2 subjects at SPM level or equivalent;
- a. Additional Mathematic;
OR
- b. Mathematics and either one subject of Science, Technology or Engineering
- Passed STPM in Science stream or equivalent, with a minimum of Grade C (NGMP 2.00) in one Mathematics subject and one Science / ICT subject;
- Diploma in Computer Science OR Software Engineering OR Information Technology OR Information Systems or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.5
- Any Diploma in science and technology with a minimum CGPA of 2.50.
