The research-based Doctor of Philosophy (Education) program is intended to give students the abilities they need to carry out academic research in their specialized fields and establish themselves as respected authorities and specialists who uphold the highest professional standards while promoting the growth and advancement of knowledge. The curriculum gives students the skills they need to effectively teach, plan, and oversee educational resources in both academic settings and other domains. By engaging in multidisciplinary research, debates, and online discussions with peers and research professionals, students will be able to cultivate adaptability, diversity, and originality. Candidates can complete this program in 3 years by enrolling full-time or in 4 years by enrolling part time.

Entry Requirements
Entry Level and Requirements
- A Master’s Degree in the field or related fields accepted by the University Senate
- Other qualifications equivalent to a Master’s Degree recognised by the Government of Malaysia
- Candidates without a related qualification in the field(s) or working experience in the relevant fields must undergo appropriate prerequisite courses determined by the university.
English Language Requirements
- A Master’s Degree conducted in English*
- Credit 6 in MCE / SPM / GCE level
- MUET Band 4 / TOEFL score of 550 / IELTS score of 6.0
- Equivalent score from any of the above obtained at undergraduate level at a recognised university*
*A copy of document from the university is required during submission as a proof of English proficiency
