Entry Requirements
- Associate of Arts or Science or equivalent with min 2.5 Cumulative GPA; OR 60 transferable credits (100 level or higher) with min 2.5 CGPA from an accredited post-secondary institution including: -6cr ENGL/CMNS, including ENGL 100 or equivalent -6cr PSYC -3cr quantitative/analytical -15cr electives -Up to 30cr in a related area of study such as education assistant, child &youth development, developmental disability studies, early childhood education, special needs, ABA, social work, education.
- Interview to assess interest and suitability
- One-page letter of interest. One reference letter. It will be necessary to provide documentation of a minimum of 300 hours of experience as a Behaviour Interventionist prior to the September start of the program. Please contact the ABA-A coordinator for assistance in obtaining work/volunteer experience.
English Language Requirement for students whose primary language is not English:
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): paper=560, computer=220, internet=83, or English Language Assessment (ELA)=145
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS)=6.5 overall, and no one score less than 6
- Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL)=70, or Pearson Test of English (PTE Academic)=56
- Capilano University EAP 100 and 101 with a minimum B+ grade in each course
