Entry Requirements

Entry Pathways:

Matriculation/Foundation:

  • Minimum CGPA of 2.00.

  • Exempt from Reinforcement Mathematics if the mathematics studied is equivalent to or exceeds SPM Additional Mathematics.

STPM:

  • Minimum grade C (CGPA 2.00) in two subjects.

  • For Science Stream: Minimum grade C (CGPA 2.00) in Mathematics and one Science/ICT subject.

STAM:

  • Minimum grade Jayyid in two subjects.


Diploma Holders:

  • Diploma in Computing (MQF Level 4): Minimum CGPA of 2.50.

  • Diploma in Science and Technology (MQF Level 4): Minimum CGPA of 2.75.

  • DKM/DVM/DLKM in Computing fields: Minimum CGPA of 2.50, subject to approval by the HEP Senate/Academic Board.


Reinforcement Mathematics:

  • Required for candidates without Additional Mathematics.

  • Must be passed before taking related core courses.

  • Contributes to the overall graduating credit.

  1. Internal Evaluation:

    • Candidates with a CGPA below 2.75 but above 2.00 may be admitted after a thorough internal evaluation.

  2. Case-by-Case Assessment:

Minimum CGPA Requirements:

  • 2.00 for AIMST Foundation, Matriculation, STPM, or equivalent.

  • 2.50 for Diploma in Computing (MQF Level 4) or equivalent, Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM), Diploma Vocational Malaysia (DVM), or Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) in Computing fields.

  • 2.75 for Diploma in Science and Technology (MQF Level 4).

Mathematics Requirement:

Note: Candidates without Additional Mathematics must take Reinforcement Mathematics at the start of their studies.

  • credit in Additional Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent.

  • OR a credit in Mathematics and one Science/Technology/Engineering subject at SPM level or equivalent.
